We are finding that "strengthening and healing" section of this journey is pretty uneventful and painfully slow. There really isn't anything new to relate. Continue to pray for peace for Julia, that her fever may come down, and that she can increase her digestion abilities past apple sauce and jello, she is starting to get sick of them.
Marika was able to visit again today which is always a delight. I was able to capture some more photos, but I got some video as well. This is my first attempt to post video so I hope this works!

Julia and Matt,
I was away this weekend on a Ladies Retreat, I cried as I read the updates from Friday on.
Many of our friends and church family here have been praying for you.
We will be at Steve, Belinda and Jayden's the end of June. Julia,I hope you are eating normally and home with your baby by then so we can meet Marika.
May God continue to bless both of you and baby Marika.

We continue to marvel at God's answers to prayer. Thank you so much for the updates and now even video! Julia and Marika look great, and even look better together. Sorry we missed you this weekend ... will have to wait a little longer for the live show. We will continue to pray for strength, patience and no more jello! Ray, Shirl and Leanna.
Dear family,
Thanks for the video...precious!! I showed everyone at work today! So many prayers, so much thanksgiving! We all pray for continued progress in strength and health for you Julia!
I'll see you all tomorrow!
Hugs and love,
Mom Kay
How touching and extremely beautiful to see you all together as family in one photo- all smiling! It's a joy to watch the video as well- amazing what and how we can share these days! We praise God with you and continue to marvel at His ways - Children are certainly a blessing, that surely is doubly so when both both parents can enjoy them together as was set out in creation. May He continue to bless you and give healing to Julia!
Of course, you are still in our prayers .

Matt and Julia,
I can't even begin to imagine how difficult this time has been for you and your family. I'm so thankful that Julia is getting better. It must be so hard to have to say goodbye everyday. I know we've only really started to get to know each other since our combined pregnancies, but I do hope to continue to get to know you all as time goes on and things settle down. When the time comes for Julia to come home if you need any help at all please feel free to call on me, even if it's just for a little company. Congratulations on such a beautiful baby girl! Marika truly is a gem!
Blessings & Prayers for you all. May God continue to shine his light upon you.

So good to read through your blog. Pastor Tom showed your and Marika's picture at Fellowship CRC on the big screen Sunday, and there were quite a few tears of joy for you all. We have been praying for you as a church, prayer group, care group and our family.
I remember well when Esther (our first) was born a month early, and we both had group B strep. She was pretty sick with it and went septic with it. I know what it is like to be separated from each other for a few days. But God was gracious to us too, and now 14 years later we thank God for 4 beautiful children and for the health we have each day.
Thank you for your testimony. You are right that God is good--all the time--and that He has us in His hands.
We pray you may continue to recover quickly and soon be home as a family again. Enjoy Marika's early days; they don't last that long. :)
Hi Julia and Matt,
Tony and I found out Sunday by reading the St. Thomas church bulletin regarding your severe illness. We are thankful that you are out of ICU and improving daily. Congratulations to you and Matt, although we have never met Matt, we feel that we know him a little bit from the blog. We will pray for your recovery that you may soon be home as a family.
Blessings abundant to come,
Tony and Mary DeKoter
