Sunday June 24, 2007

Hello All,

We are very pleased to announce that Julia has been home since 10:30 this morning. We have made it past 4 hours, and her temperature is still okay so we are more optimistic with each passing hour. She still has a long slow road to full recovery, but we praise the Lord for how far we have come.

We would like to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and we will continue to post as Julia gets stronger but maybe not every day.

I would like to finish things off with the passage I spoke to Julia just as it was all starting:

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths
of righteousness
for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my
head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Praise the Lord. We are delighted to learn that Julia appears to be home to stay. We know from Peggy's experience that being out of the hospital will do wonders for her recovery. What a blessing. It's great to have her back isn't it Matt? After 16 days I was overjoyed to have a full-time wife again and after something like 27 days for you it will be even better. We're continuing to pray.

Ron

P.S. Thanks for sharing those great pictures today.

Dear Matt, Julia and Marika,
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! We sang that in church several times today but it has taken on new meaning for us! (as does Psalm 23!) We thank Him for His mercies..that are new every morning! We'll pray for continued strength and health Julia! It's so good to see you home and holding Marika!
See you all soon!

Wow congratulations you guys! We are thrilled that you are another step further in your recovery Julia. We will continue to pray for you all.

A song is coming to me now by Chris Rice and it makes me think of you, because I am sure that you are truly living its' message today:
"Every day is a gift you've been given; make the most of the time, every minute you're livin'"

Love to you,
